In MOUNTAINS OF DESIRE five dancers tell themselves and the audience about their hope for a better world. It is about the consequences of displacement and flight and about the difficult arrival in the new. The dancers tell about their departures, their escapes and their big and small dreams of life. Together they go in search of their own mountains of longing. Their memories and their diaries, a choreographer, a composer and a dramaturge help them. A polar bear also plays a not unimportant role.
